(VOVworld) – The border guard command in Lao Cai province on Thursday honored outstanding individuals in the Vietnam-China border area for their communications to publicize Party policies and State laws. The recognition enforced the Prime Minister’s directive on promoting the role of prestigious ethnic people in national construction and defense.

Honorees were patriarchs and other prestigious people who have enthusiastically encouraged their relatives and neighbors to place their confidence in policies and laws, ensure local security, obey regulations and laws, engage in intensive farming, and implement ethnic and religious policies. They have cooperated with the border guards and local authorities to heighten people’s awareness of their obligations to defend social order and national sovereignty.
