In Fukuoka, 200 demonstrators under police control chanted slogans in Vietnamese and Japanese, demanding that China honor international law, stop its provocations and militarization in the East Sea. Demonstrators rejected China’s groundless nine-dash-line claim and welcomed the Court’s ruling. They marched to the Chinese Embassy in Fukuoka to present appeals in Vietnamese, Japanese, and English, which asked China to abide by the Court’s ruling and affirmed Vietnam’s indisputable sovereignty over the Truong Sa and Hoang Sa archipelagoes.
