Pakistan court orders Musharraf questioned about Bhutto’s assassination

A Pakistani anti-terrorism court on Tuesday ordered the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) to include former military ruler Pervez Musharraf, a "proclaimed offender", in its investigation of the 2007 assassination of Benazir. Judge Chaudhry Habib-ur-Rehman asked the FIA to investigate the alleged crimes of Musharraf and issue a report at the end of the investigation. The court will reconvene on May 3. According to the FIA, Musharraf is accused of failing to ensure security for former Prime Minister Bhutto when she returned to Pakistan after living in exile. Bhutto was killed in a suicide bombing in Rawalpindi city while speaking to her supporters. Musharraf denies the accusation.
