Iranian news agency Mehrnews said the missile and drone attack targeted the Jaish al-Adl group's headquarters in Pakistan, calling it another decisive step taken by Iran in response to aggression against its security.

The strike was conducted late on Tuesday after Tehran launched attacks in Iraq and Syria against what it called terrorist groups. Pakistan protested the attack near the two countries' common border, calling it a violation of international law.

The same day, Iraq warned that it might suspend its security agreement with Iran. Iraqi Defense Minister Thabet al-Abbasi said Iran's attack on Erbil, the semi-autonomous Kurdish region in Iraq, violated the security agreement between the two countries and the agreement might be suspended.

Earlier, Iraqi Prime Minister Mohammed Shia' al-Sudani condemned Iran's missile attack, saying it could weaken bilateral relations.
