(VOVworld) – Hoang Binh Quan, Envoy of Party General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong, is on a visit to China. During a reception hosted by the Chinese Party leader and President Xi Jinping on Monday, Quan said the Vietnamese Party and state will continue to pursue a foreign policy of independence, self-reliance, peace, cooperation, and development with respect for neighborliness and comprehensive cooperation with the Chinese party and state.

He said he hoped the two sides will work closely in implementing common perceptions of the two countries’ leaders and their agreements in order to deepen the Vietnam-China strategic cooperative partnership.

Chinese Party leader and President Xi Jinping appreciated Vietnamese Party leader Nguyen Phu Trong for sending an envoy to China to inform Chinese leaders about the outcomes of Vietnam’s 12^th National Party Congress. Xi Jinping said the Chinese Party and government leaders treasured their ties with Vietnam and wanted both sides to strengthen political trust, boost senior official exchanges, promote strategic cooperation, and people-to-people exchanges to strengthen bilateral cooperation.

Earlier, Mr. Hoang Binh Quan held talks with Head of the Chinese Party Central Committee’s International Liaison Department Song Tao to inform the Chinese side the results of Vietnam’s 12^th National Party Congress.
