Party leader chairs Central Military Commission’s 8th session
(VOVWORLD) -General Secretary of the Communist Party of Vietnam and Secretary of the Central Military Commission Nguyen Phu Trong on Monday chaired the 8th session of the Commission to review leadership of implementing military and national defense tasks and building the military Party Committee in 2023.

Also attending were President Vo Van Thuong, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh, and Permanent member of the Party Central Committee’s Secretariat Truong Thi Mai.
Based on in-depth analysis of the regional, global and domestic situation, the meeting determined directions and leadership solutions to carry out tasks in 2024.
Delegates affirmed that this year the Central Military Commission, the Ministry of National Defense and party committees and commanders at all levels have focused on leading and directing the entire army to overcome difficulties and comprehensively accomplish tasks with higher results than in 2022.

The meeting urged for efforts to grasp, evaluate and forecast the situation correctly, promptly advise the Party and State to successfully handle situations, avoid being passive, firmly protect independence, sovereignty, unity, and territorial integrity of the Fatherland.
