(VOVWORLD) - Party General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong on Tuesday offered incense at the Kinh Thien Palace at Thang Long Imperial Citadel, Hanoi.

The Party leader and other delegates reported to the predecessors of Vietnam’s development achievements and prayed for peace, happiness, and wealth for the people and the nation.

Speaking to staff of the Thang Long Imperial Citadel Relic Site, Mr. Trong highlighted the significance of the site which embraces traces of Vietnam’s thousands-years old history of national construction and defense and national cultural identity.

He urged the staff at the site to bring into play their sense of responsibility to preserve fine values of the nation and the capital as well as preserve and promote cultural and historical values of the Thang Long Imperial Citadel relic site which has been recognized by UNESCO as a World Culture Heritage.
