During a reception for chiefs of overseas Vietnamese representative missions who have been appointed in 2020, Ms. Mai expressed her belief that the chief representatives will accomplish their tasks and make an active contribution to Vietnam’s diplomacy. She noted that the biggest concern of the Vietnamese community abroad is to have a stable and safe life in the host country. 

She said, “The Vietnamese community abroad is an inseparable part, the strength of national great solidarity and a resource. Mass mobilization is very important and embassies must create a synergy effect. When there is care and bonding, there is love and affection. Overseas Vietnamese must be connected with their homeland at different levels. I believe that the ambassadors with their experience will be flexible in mass mobilization.” 

The Party official noted that as the COVID-19 epidemic has disrupted the global production chain, ambassadors need to be well aware of the advantages and challenges ahead to work for national development.
