People’s diplomacy - one of key pillars in Vietnam’s diplomacy
(VOVWORLD) - President of the Vietnam Union of Friendship Organisations (VUFO) Nguyen Phuong Nga has pledged close cooperation with the media in assuring people’s diplomacy as one of three pillars in Vietnam’s modern and comprehensive diplomacy.

Speaking in a meeting with the press on Thursday, Nga said in the context of the COVID-19 pandemic and uncertainties of the global and regional politics-security, the Union devised solutions to fulfill assigned tasks in an active, flexible, creative, and effective manner, thus contributing to the successful implementation of Vietnam's dual targets of containing the spread of COVID-19 and promoting socio-economic development. These have strengthened Vietnam's friendship with international friends, promoted the image of Vietnam, and raised the country’s global prestige through various important major foreign relations events with close cooperation from the press.
