Senior Lieutenant General Nguyen Van Nghia, Deputy Chief of the General Staff of the Vietnam People’s Army, said military parade is the soul of the commemoration, an important assignment demonstrating the historical image and prestige of the Vietnamese army.

He requested thorough plans to ensure logistics, communications, security, and safety while paying great attention to backup plans.

Under the plan, from the end of March to mid-April, training will be conducted at the National Military Training Center 4 in Hanoi’s My Duc District.

From late April to early May, the participating forces are expected to relocate to Dien Bien Phu City for final rehearsals.
