PM approves plan on Vietnam’s dry port development until 2020
The Prime Minister has approved a plan on Vietnam’s dry port development until 2020 and orientation for 2030. Under the plan, the sea port system should be established to meet local demands for economic and transportation development. The dry ports should be built in areas engaged in import-export shipments, international border gates and major transport corridors. Dry ports should reserve extra land for their long-term development and abide by regulations governing environmental protection, technology, defence and security. The Prime Minister’s decision called for all resources available for the development of dry port system and connected transport network.
