Chairing the national conference on implementing the 13th National Party Congress Resolution in Hanoi on Wednesday, Prime Minister Chinh emphasized that the COVID-19 pandemic will continue to take a toll on the economy, so ministries and sectors need stronger determination and efforts to implement the Resolution of the Party Congress.

He asked the Vietnam Union of Science and Technology Associations as an organization representing scientific and technological intellectuals and its member organizations to play a better political role and consolidate the great solidarity to contribute to the successful realization of the country's political goals in the new period.

The Prime Minister noted that scientists need to strengthen their role in the great solidarity bloc on the basis of the workers - farmers - intellectuals alliance, develop science and technology to new heights, and continue to advise the Party and State on national development guidelines and policies.
