PM chairs Government’s law making meeting for April

(VOVWORLD) -At Thursday’s Government meeting chaired by Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh, participants approved the revised Value Added Tax Bill and the Plan for use of the increased revenue and savings from regular expenditures of the Central budget in 2023.

The Value Added Tax Law Bill needs a resolution to soon submit to the National Assembly’s 7th Session for consideration. The Plan needs to be submitted to the National Assembly Standing Committee for decision to allocate, use, and serve economic and social development.

Opening the meeting, Prime Minister Chinh said the strategic breakthrough on institutional refinement is a major policy of the State, with focused investment, aggressive organization and implementation, and is made more orderly, professional, methodical, scientific, substantive, and effective.

The Prime Minister said that since the beginning of his term, the Government has held 25 thematic meetings on law making; give opinions, review, and approve nearly 100 proposals to develop laws, draft laws, and related contents. They are important and urgent to improve the legal system, remove obstacles, and clear all resources for development such as the Laws on Land, Credit Institutions, Real Estate and Housing, he added.
