PM chairs steering committee for key transportation projects

(VOVWORLD) -  Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinhsaid the continued development of expressways, airports, and ports will lower logistics costs and increase the competitiveness of Vietnamese goods both domestically and internationally.

Mr. Chinh, who also heads the State Steering Committee for National Key Transportation Projects, chaired the 12th meeting of the Committee on Friday in Hanoi.

The PM asked the Committee to focus on reviewing the implementation of projects and efforts to remove project obstacles, particularly those relating to site clearance and materials supply.

PM Chinh also urged ministries, sectors, and localities to continue their efforts to ensure project progress and quality.

The 13th National Party Congress set a goal of completing 3,000 km of expressways by 2025 and 5,000 km by 2030.
