In Cai Lay district, the middle point of the expressway, PM Phuc applauded Tien Giang province, the investor of the project, bidders, and relevant units for land clearance and completing 35% of the project’s workload, an important foundation for the inauguration of the whole expressway by 2021.

The Trung Luong-My Thuan expressway project is important as together with the Ho Chi Minh City-Trung Luong and My Thuan-Can Tho expressways, it helps connect 13 Mekong delta provinces, reduce traffic congestion in National Highway 1, and boost socio-economic development in Vietnam’s Mekong Delta region.
