He makes the trip at the invitation of Chinese Premier Li Qiang and WEF Founder and Executive Chairman Klaus Schwab.
The Government leader is accompanied by many senior officials from different ministries and agencies, including Minister of National Defense Gen. Phan Van Giang, Foreign Minister Bui Thanh Son, Minister of Planning and Investment Nguyen Chi Dung, and Minister of Industry and Trade Nguyen Hong Dien.
This is the first official visit by PM Chinh and the first by a Vietnamese PM to China in seven years. The visit will create an opportunity for leaders of the two countries to discuss ways to concretize the outcomes and common perceptions reached during Party leader Nguyen Phu Trong's official visit to China last year in order to boost bilateral ties, effectively manage differences, and make the Vietnam-China comprehensive strategic cooperative partnership more practical and effective.
During his stay from June 25-28, PM Chinh will attend the 14th annual meeting of the New Champions known as the Summer Davos Forum in Tianjin. As a reliable, responsible member of the international community, Vietnam will work closely with international partners to address global issues to maintain and promote regional and global economic growth.

PM Chinh is scheduled to attend and share Vietnam’s vision at the plenary session themed ‘Braving the Headwinds: Rewiring Growth Amid Fragility’, and the leaders’ working lunch on preventing a decade of loss.

He will then co-chair the Vietnam - WEF National Strategic Dialogue with WEF leaders, attend the Vietnam - China business forum and have meetings with leaders of participating countries and business corporations.
