PM Nguyen Tan Dung held talks with Bangladeshi counterpart

During talks between Prime Minister Nguyen Tan Dung and his Bangladeshi counterpart Sheikh Hasina in Hanoi on Friday, both leaders discussed measures to improve bilateral ties in areas of mutual advantages and potential. They agreed on the organization of the first meeting of the Joint Committee on economic, trade, culture, science and technology and the political consultation between the two foreign ministries next year. They pledged to strengthen cooperation in international fora and support maritime freedom and settlement of disputes through peaceful means based on international laws and practices. Bangladesh recognized Vietnam’s market economy status and considered it a condition to facilitate bilateral friendship and cooperation.
