Mr. Chinh reaffirmed Vietnam’s 3 commitments to investors, “First, Vietnam always protects the legitimate rights and interests of investors in all circumstances. Second, the Government always stands side by side with investors to help them overcome difficulties and challenges and seize opportunities to do sustainable business in Vietnam on the principle of harmonizing interests and sharing risks. Third, we will not criminalize economic and civil relations but will punish law violators.”

He said that Vietnam is implementing breakthroughs in institutions, strategic infrastructure, and administrative reform to create a healthy, transparent, and democratic business climate, reduce logistic costs, and cultivate high‑quality human resources.

Deputy Minister of Planning and Investment Nguyen Thi Bich Ngoc said that over the past 9 months, Vietnam’s macroeconomy was stable; inflation was under control; and major balances of the economy were guaranteed. GDP grew 4.24%; the currency market was basically stable; and exchange rates were flexibly managed in accordance with market developments.

Many foreign economic groups participating at the conference said Vietnam has an opportunity to become a manufacturing hub in the global supply chain. The international community believes Vietnam plays an important role in promoting global trade, and many large investors are committed to expanding their operations in Vietnam, they said.
