PM urges Dak Lak province to boost socio-economic development

(VOVWORLD) - Creating a strong development plan for 2021 is a key in boosting Dak Lak’s development, Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc told local authorities on Monday, following a dialogue with farmers in Buon Ma Thuot city.

Mr. Phuc also underlined the need to ensure security and order, foil all plots by hostile forces, promote agricultural production, and improve the lives of local ethnic minorities.

He urged ministries and agencies to upgrade transportation infrastructure connecting Dak Lak province with major economic regions.

At the meeting, the Prime Minister presented 100 houses, each worth 3,000 USD, to poor families.

At a conference on growing macadamia trees in Vietnam on Tuesday in Buon Ma Thuot city, Dak Lak province, Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc hailed the potential of macadamia trees to improve the lives of poor people in remote areas.

PM Phuc praised the Vietnam Macadamia Association for its contribution. He stressed the importance of choosing the right land for planting macadamia and matching the extent of macadamia planting to the market.
