PMs of Vietnam, China hold talks

(VOVWORLD) - The Vietnamese Party and State attach great importance to and define the development of a friendly, stable, healthy, and long-term cooperative relationship with China as a strategic choice and top priority in Vietnam's foreign policy, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh said during Saturday’s talks with Chinese Premier Li Qiang in Guangxi province, China.

PM Chinh is now on a visit to Nanning city, Guangxi, to attend the 20th China-ASEAN Expo (CAEXPO) and China-ASEAN Business and Investment Summit (CABIS).

The comprehensive strategic cooperative partnership with China is the highest-level of ties Vietnam has established with a partner in the world, said PM Chinh. Over the past 15 years, this partnership and the traditional friendship and cooperation between Vietnam and China have benefited the two countries and nations and contributed to peace, cooperation, and development in the region and the world, he noted.     

Premier Li said under the leadership of General Secretary Xi Jinping and General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong, the fruitful relationship between the two Parties and countries has been maintained. PM Pham Minh Chinh has visited China twice within 3 months, demonstrating a profound respect for bilateral ties, he noted.

Premier Li said that China always considers its relationship with Vietnam a priority in the overall framework of its neighborhood policy. China is ready to join hands with Vietnam in continuing to effectively realize the common perceptions reached by their Party leaders to further enhance and deepen bilateral ties.
