According to the resolution, Hanoi will take the lead in completing industrialization and modernization by 2030. By 2045, Hanoi will become a globally connected, civilized, modern, and creative city with a high standard of living and quality of life and a harmonious economic, cultural and social development on par with leading capitals and cities in the region.

The resolution was adopted at Friday meeting in Hanoi chaired Party General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong, who urged the Party Committee, administration and people of Hanoi to be mindful of the city’s important role and position.

The Politburo praised Hanoi’s achievements over the past decade with good economic growth, socio-political stability, national defense and security maintained, and external relations and international integration expanded.
