Poor households, policy families receive gifts ahead of Tet

(VOVWORLD) -Vice Chairman of the National Assembly Tran Thanh Man on Monday presented 45 gifts and 500 shopping vouchers worth more than 25,000 USD to Vietnamese Heroic Mothers, policy families, and program participants at a Tet Charity Market in the Mekong Delta province of Hau Giang.

Mr. Man urged Hau Giang province to keep growing economically, maintain national defense and security, establish a strong political system, and improve the well-being of its residents.

The same day, NA Vice Chairman Tran Quang Phuong presented 200 gifts valued at 10,000 USD to policy families, families who have made revolutionary contributions, poor and near-poor households, and ethnic minority people in Tra Bong district, Quang Ngai province.

Mr Phuong said, "I hope the local community will develop further by following the guidance of local agencies, shifting livestock and crops, increasing production, and embracing a circular and green economy." He said he hopes locals will preserve the unique cultural identity of each ethnic group.

Deputy Prime Minister Tran Luu Quang visited and gave gifts to policy families, families who have made revolutionary contributions, and trade union members in Hai Phong city on Monday afternoon.
