President Ho Chi Minh’s 129th birthday celebrated nationwide
(VOVWORLD) -The Sen village festival 2019 closed in Kim Lien commune, Nam Dan district, in the central province of Nghe An on Sunday night as part of a range of activities to mark the 129th birthday of President Ho Chi Minh.

In Ho Chi Minh City’s Nguyen Hue Pedestrian Street, an art program entitled “Ho Chi Minh, the most beautiful name” featured the great leader’s dedication to national salvation and freedom and people’s happiness. Nguyen Thi Thanh, a war veteran, who watched the program, said: “We are here to recall the tradition and glorious milestones in revolutionary cause of President Ho Chi Minh. I feel very proud. Now living in peace time, we pledge to train ourselves and be dedicated to the nation.”
A movement entitled “Young physicians follow Uncle Ho’s teachings, voluntarily work for community health” was launched in Hanoi on Sunday. More than 100 young physicians and Youth Union members provided free medical check-ups and medicines to 2,000 people. Le Thi Thuy, a Hanoian, said: “The doctors are very enthusiastic and careful. Finding out that I have a benign tumor they advised me to revisit doctors after 6 months and give medicine to me to ease my dental pain. This program is very good as it reminds people to have regular medical check-up and take care of their health.”
On this occasion, the Vietnam Young Physicians Association, the Ministry of Health, and the World Health Organization Office launched a walk for health.
