(VOVworld) - President Truong Tan Sang says 2012 is the Vietnam-Lao Friendship and Solidarity year, which marks the 50th anniversary of bilateral diplomatic ties and the 35th anniversary of the signing of the Friendship and Solidarity Treaty. At a reception for visiting Lao Minister of Home Affairs Kham phan Philavong in Hanoi yesterday, President Sang said both sides should continue personnel exchanges, experience sharing and successful implementation of the signed agreements.
Minister Kham phan Philavong briefed the President of signing of a memorandum of understanding (MoU), under which both ministries will increase the exchange of information and experience, and the implementation of policies relating Vietnamese voluntary soldiers serving in Laos.
