(VOVworld) - Vietnam and the Czech Republic see great potential in a wide range of sectors, particularly scientific research, Czech Senate President Milan Stech said while meeting with President Truong Tan Sang in Hanoi yesterday. He noted his delegation is accompanied by top Czech scientists seeking collaboration in Vietnam.

He pointed to the increasing number of Czech citizens interested in Asian tourism, who consider Vietnam a favourite destination. Thus, Vietnam should grasp the chance by facilitating the travel of Czech tourists. President Truong Tan Sang hoped for enhanced Czech support towards Vietnamese localities in mechanics, crystal manufacturing and tourism, at which the Czech Republic excels.
Hailing the role of the Czech Republic in the European Union, President Sang proposed that the country help accelerate the ratification of the Vietnam-EU Partnership and Cooperation Agreement (PCA).
