President Phuc, who is also Head of the Central Steering Committee for Judicial Reform, required that the court sector continue to improve the quality of trial, not to allow unjust or wrong trials to happen, criminals and offenders should not be overlooked, and proactively fight against corruption.
“Judicial activities must put the people at the center. The courts must persistently implement the mantra "Be close to the people, understand the people, help the people, learn the people" through strengthening close relationships with the people and listening to their opinions and aspirations. Judges are not only experts in their profession and good in adjudication skills, but also need to be knowledgeable about social realities, understand the thoughts, feelings, and difficulties of the people from many angles in order to adopt appropriate solutions. By doing so, a fair and convincing judgment can be made,” Mr. Phuc said.
On Friday, President Phuc awarded the 40-year and 30-year party membership badges to the leaders of the Supreme People's Court.
