President Vo Van Thuong visits Military Region 9 Command
(VOVWORLD) -President Vo Van Thuong on Saturday asked Military Region 9 to constantly improve its political quality, qualification and combat readiness; proactively grasp the situation, handle well practical problems, especially on the land border line and the southwestern waters of Vietnam.

During a working visit to Military Region 9 Command in Can Tho City, the President requested further coordination to ensure political security, social order and safety in the locality, creating a favorable environment for the Mekong Delta's socio-economic development.
He stressed the need to build strong armed forces and focus on Party building work in the army.
“Strengthen the protection of internal politics and Party ideological foundation, and effectively fight against the wrong and reactionary views of hostile forces, especially in cyberspace. Regularly take good care of the life of officers and soldiers and their relatives, especially for the forces on duty in difficult areas,” President Thuong said.
