Prime Minister calls for more maritime cooperation with Brunei
(VOVWORLD) -Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc has welcomed the comprehensive partnership with Brunei and called for more exchanges and consultation for more bilateral ties and political trust.

During his reception of Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah of Brunei in Hanoi on Wednesday, the Prime Minister said both countries should promote cooperation in sea and ocean, in particular in fisheries, thanks to their important strategic position with coast lines. The Sultan said areas for potential cooperation include certification of Halal food. He pledged Brunei’s ratification of the CPTPP and close cooperation with Vietnam to finalize the negotiation of the RCEP this year.
