Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong visits India

(VOVworld) - Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong has begun a five-day working visit to India from Oct 3 to Oct 7 at the invitation of his Indian counterpart Narendra Modi, the Singaporean Prime Minister's Office (PMO) said on Monday.

During the visit, Mr. Lee will meet with Prime Minister Modi in New Delhi. The two Prime Ministers will also witness the exchange of some Memorandums of Understanding, marking their countries’ cooperation in real estate, tourism, urbanization, skills development, as well as for the establishment of a Skills Centre in Assam. Prime Minister Lee will also meet with President Pranab Mukherjee, and Minister of External Affairs Sushma Swaraj. Mr. Lee will attend the launch of the Centre of Excellence for Tourism Training - part of the two countries' skills development collaboration under the India-Singapore Strategic Partnership signed in November 2015.
