Prime Minister meets New Zealand, Australian counterparts

(VOVWORLD) - Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc met with his New Zealand counterpart Jacinda Ardern on the sidelines of the APEC Economic Leaders’ Meeting in Da Nang city on Friday.

The Vietnamese and New Zealand leaders agreed to increase the exchange of visits and boost trade.

The same day, Mr. Phuc held talks with Australian Prime Minister Malcolm Turnbull. They agreed to upgrade their relationship to a strategic partnership on the basis of their enhanced comprehensive partnership which was established in 2015. The leaders also commented on strides made in cooperation in national defence-security, education-training, labour, tourism and people-to-people exchange. 
PM Phuc called on Australia to expand its investment and business activities in  manufacturing, energy, mining, infrastructure, high-technology and food processing, while creating the best possible conditions for Vietnamese investors in Australia.
