Addressing the year-end meeting of the industry and trade sector in Hanoi on Friday, Prime Minister Phuc said: “I urge for the comprehensive implementation of FTAs, focusing on potential markets. In addition to the US market, the CPTPP and EU markets are very important too. The 28-member EU market has an export growth rate of 1-2% and is attractive to Vietnamese products such as agricultural produce and garment and textile.”

The Prime Minister called on localities to develop industries. “Industry and trade policy should focus on industrial development, to which localities should respond to. The Ministry of Industry and Trade should take the lead in planning for development. Specific plans and measures are needed to tap idle resources, ” Prime Minister Phuc said.
