Prime Minister receives new Canadian ambassador

Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc told Canada’s new ambassador to Vietnam, Ping Kitnikone at a meeting in Hanoi on Tuesday. He reaffirmed Vietnam’s commitment to creating favorable conditions for Canada’s investment projects in Vietnam, suggesting the two sides bolster trade links in the months to come. Mr. Phuc urged the two countries to closely coordinate at regional and international forums, including the UN.

Ms. Kitnikone said Canada is ready to expand cooperation with Vietnam in trade and investment. She said a delegation of Canadian aerospace enterprises will soon make a fact-finding tour of Vietnam to seek cooperation opportunities with Vietnamese partners.
