(VOVworld) The central province of Quang Nam celebrated its 15^th founding anniversary on Tuesday.

Addressing the ceremony, President Truong Tan Sang urged the provincial authority to enhance cooperation with neighboring provinces to further their advantages. “Quang Nam should rapidly develop its industry and services, focusing on processing, advanced and environmentally friendly technology industries that produce high added values, and cultural and historical tourism. The province should also better implement the program on building new rural areas, which promotes the active and central role of farmers.” said President Sang. He also asked Quang Nam to concentrate on poverty reduction, improve people’s cultural and educational life, and care for social beneficiaries. The President conferred the province with the honorable Ho Chi Minh Order to acknowledge its socio-economic achievements.
