(VOVworld) – The Ministry of Home Affairs held a seminar to collect opinions on the Bill on Local Administration Organization on Monday.

The participants discussed several topics in groups

Nearly 100 representatives from 22 provinces and cities in the south attended the event. The delegates discussed the rank of administrative units, the principles and authority in deciding the boundary of administrative units, and decentralization between central and local government. Do Tien Manh, Deputy Head of the Office of Binh Dinh provincial People’s Council, said: “Specific regulations focus more on the activities rather than the organization. It’s necessary to review and have a section regarding the organization of the People’s Council at the provincial, district, and communal levels. There should be principles on the number of Deputy Heads of the People’s Council and remove the title of permanent member.”
