Rescued Vietnamese fishermen in good condition

(VOVworld) - Nine Vietnamese fishermen who were rescued by the Philippine Coast Guard last week are in good health. According to the Vietnamese Embassy in the Philippines, the nine fishermen aboard a fishing vessel from the central province of Quang Ngai , were brought to Puerto Princesa, the capital of Palawan island, by the Philippine Coast Guard. They are living temporarily in the coast guard’s headquarters. The embassy and authorised Philippine agencies are working together to complete necessary procedures to help the fishermen return home. On the night of Feb. 17, the fishing vessel was stranded near the Balabac Strait in Philippine waters while it was seeking  shelter from a tropical low pressure system in the East Sea.
