(VOVworld) – The Vietnam Union of Friendship Organizations and the Vietnam-Romania Friendship Organization co-organized a meeting to mark Romania’s 97^th National Day on December 1 and the 65^th anniversary of Vietnam-Romania diplomatic ties.

Nguyen Si Thang, President of the Vietnam-Romania Friendship Organization, expressed his delight that Romania is striving to be a modern country, integrating into the world and making great contributions to peace and development. Thang said that since bilateral ties were established, Romania has supported Vietnam in the struggle for national liberation, in national construction, and in defense. Romania has trained many students and collaborators who later made great contributions to Vietnam’s socio-economic development.
