Russia summons US diplomat to protest office search
(VOVWORLD) - Russia's Foreign Ministry summoned US Deputy Chief of Mission Anthony Godfrey in Moscow on Saturday to protest what the ministry claims is a plan to search the newly closed Russian trade mission office in Washington.
It said the inspection is "illegal" and an "unprecedented aggressive action". The trade facility in Washington is one of three diplomatic buildings that the US ordered Moscow to vacate by Saturday within 10 to 12 hours.
