(VOVworld)-Luong Ngoc villagers in Cam Thuy district of Thanh Hoa province have held a fish palanquin parade to pray for good weather and a bumper crop.

Visitors could have a look at the sacred beauty of the stream with the fish live and participate in folk games. Hoang Trung Hai is from the local district’s department of culture: “The sacred fish is believed to protect villagers, forest, mountain and crops. The palanquin begins with drum and gong beats to scare away devils and bad lucks. The ritual is followed by traditional games and performance with thousands of visitors joining every day.”
