(VOVworld) – Central Quang Ngai province hosted a ceremony on Saturday to step up communications on Vietnam’s border, sea and islands.

The program involves 11 mobile communication teams from 11 provinces and cities in the central coastal and central highlands region In his speech, Deputy Minister of Culture, Sports, and Tourism Huynh Vinh Ai condemned China’s illegal placement of its floating oil rig in Vietnam’s exclusive economic zone and continental shelf and its attacks on Vietnam’s fishing boats. He said Vietnam consistently wants to resolve the dispute with peaceful means and takes every opportunity of dialogue to peacefully address the issue.

The program is part of practical activities aimed to promote patriotism and national pride among Vietnamese people inside and outside the country.
