It is necessary to have close cooperation between Ministries, sectors and localities. According to the latest document issued by Vu Duc Dam, Deputy Prime Minister and head of the National Steering Board for the Search and Repatriation of Martyrs’ Remains, functional agencies need to communicate and encourage the people to bring into full play the tradition of “drinking water, remember the source”. It is essential to collect and build a data base on the martyrs’ information. The army force should be the major force in this task and martyrs’ remains can be identified by DNA testing. At the same time, there’s a need to review and have timely supplements to policies for the martyrs and their relatives.
