(VOV) – 100 scientists and experts gathered today in Da Nang at a seminar themed “ East Sea Cooperation – History and Prospects”.

The event is a chance for scientists to announce their latest research about the East Sea as well as point out strategic positions, economic-cultural potentials, and cooperation and development opportunities for countries in the East Sea region. Dr. Le Quoc Ly, Deputy Director of Ho Chi Minh National Academy of Politics and Administration, said: "The Hoang Sa ( Paracel ) and Truong Sa (Spratly) archipelagoes have been closely attached to generations of Vietnamese people. The archipelagoes as well as the sea and islands are integral parts of Vietnam. In the fast changing world situation, the fast development of Vietnam prompts us to further cooperate in the East Sea".
