(VOVworld)- A seminar on increasing female participation in politics opened in Tien Giang province on Friday. Politburo member and National Assembly Vice Chairwoman Nguyen Thi Kim Ngan said the Vietnamese Party and State pay special attention to female cadres and gender equality issues. The percentage of female cadres in Party and State agencies and organizations has increased in recent years. Ngan expressed her hope that seminar delegates will share their experience in enhancing gender equality and increasing the number of female politicians in Vietnam.
