Seminar to honor revolutionist Pham Hung on his 100th birthday

(VOVworld) – A seminar about Pham Hung and his revolutionary career with Vinh Long province was held on Monday in the province to mark the 100th birth anniversary of the former Chairman of the Council of Ministers.

Dinh The Huynh, Head of the Party Central Committee's Commission for Communications and Education addressed at the event: "The seminar will encourage party members and soldiers nationwide to work and study to successfully implement Party Resolution 11. This is also an opportunity to promote the campaign to study and follow the moral example set by President Ho Chi Minh".

Phạm Hùng was born on June 11, 1912, in Vinh Long province. He joined the Indochinese Communist Party in 1930 and fought as a revolutionary against the French. After the battle of Dien Bien Phu, he rose rapidly in the party and in 1958 he became Deputy Prime Minister. Hung was an excellent student of President Ho Chi Minh, the country’s greatest ever leader.
