Senate President applauds upgraded Australia-Vietnam relations

(VOVWORLD) -Australian Senate President Sue Lines said she believes that the relationship between Australia and Vietnam will continue to develop and expected breakthroughs in economics, trade, science and technology, climate change response and energy transformation cooperation.

Meeting with Vietnamese Ambassador to Australia Pham Hung Tam who paid a courtesy call on Monday in Canberra, the Senate President congratulated Tam on his new mission in Australia. Lines said she is ready to support the Ambassador in expanding Australia-Vietnam cooperation during his term of office.

The Vietnamese Ambassador conveyed the greetings of National Assembly Chairman Vuong Dinh Hue to Senate President Sue Lines. He pledged efforts to contribute to the effective implementation of what was achieved during Chairman Hue’s visit to Australia in November 2022 and to the newly established Comprehensive Strategic Partnership between the two countries.
