Sentiment for Truong Sa archipelago

(VOVworld) – Vietnam’s Truong Sa (Spratly) archipelago has left a deep impression on mainlanders. A working team of the Fatherland Front and representatives of Ho Chi Minh city’s residents on Thursday paid a visit to the islands. Do Tan Sy, former President of the Vietnamese Patriots’ Association in Belgium, said he is lucky to see with his own eyes of the lives of soldiers and people in Truong Sa: “This time, I bring with me a camera to capture happenings on the islands. I will show the footage to my friends and relatives to show our sentiments to Truong Sa. I myself will definitely make contributions to scientific and technological programs for the archipelago”.

Nguyen Ngoc Long, founder of a charity fund called “Happy Day”, said his visit to Truong Sa will be unforgettable: “For me this is the most anticipated trip in my life. I come here to hand books, newspapers, and telephone cards that many of my friends in the social network donated to islanders. The gifts are worth a total of 10 million VND”.

During their visit, Ho Chi Minh city presented gifts worth nearly 11 billion VND to soldiers and people on Truong Sa islands.
