(VOVworld)- Deputy Defense Minister Sen. Lieut. Gen. Do Ba Ty met Singapore army chief Major General Ravinder Singh in Hanoi yesterday. Ty, who is also Chief of the General Staff of the Vietnam People's Army, said that bilateral defense ties have been strengthened through the exchange of visits by senior army leaders of the two countries within the framework of new mechanisms for strategic dialogues on national defense at deputy minister level. He spoke highly of Vietnam-Singapore military cooperation, with its focus on visit exchanges, English language courses, personnel training, and experience sharing. Gen. Singh expressed his hope for continued strengthening of bilateral military cooperation in the future.
