The Ministry is to submit to the government an economic recovery and development package for National Assembly’s approval in the upcoming session. The Minister said countries in the world have made swift decisions in response to the pandemic, including the public debt uplifting for rapid economic recovery.

Minister Dung said, 'In our research of domestic and international situation, we favor a major stimulus package in proper time to stabilize the macro-economy, support supply and demand, link fiscal policies with monetary policies, and restructure the economy with long-term view for exports and  domestic consumption. The support package will focus on people, businesses, and cooperatives seriously affected by the pandemic and those with potential for recovery. The package will last for 2 years beginning next year if approved in the year-end session.'

The Minister expected factories in some provinces will recover its full production capacity thanks to the government’s resolution 128 on flexible adaptation.
