South Korea, China and Japan to hold trilateral summit on May 27

(VOVWORLD) -The leaders of South Korea, China, and Japan will meet in Seoul on Sunday and Monday, Seoul's presidential office said Thursday.

This will be the first summit between the three countries in more than 4 years, since the conference in Chengdu, China, in 2019.

South Korean President Yoon Suk Yeol, Chinese Premier Li Qiang, and Japanese Prime Minister Fumio Kishida will meet on Monday. On Sunday, Yoon will have bilateral meetings with Li and Kishida in the Presidential Office.

The three will discuss several areas of cooperation including economy and trade; sustainable development; medical, scientific and technological issues; safety and disaster management; and people-to-people exchanges.

They will also exchange their views on global and regional issues, meet with business leaders, and attend a Business Forum.
