(VOVworld) - Military officers of South Korea, the US, and Japan on Tuesday had an online discussion on North Korea's latest satellite launch.
Yonhap news agency quoted a South Korea’s military information source as saying that the military officers agreed that North Korea’s satellite launches in January and February violated the UN Security Council’s resolutions and seriously threatened regional security.
David Shear, Assistant Secretary of Defense for Asian and Pacific Security Affairs, reaffirmed the US’s commitments to support security issue of its two allies.
The South Korean representative said North Korea’s satellite launch is an unaccepted provocation and South Korea will share intelligence information on North Korea’s missile and nuclear programs with other countries.
