The two discussed a timetable for Washington’s transfer of wartime operational control to Seoul. They agreed that the US-South Korea Combined Forces Command will have a South Korean four-star general or admiral leading it, while an American general or admiral will serve as the deputy commander.

Both sides agreed to suspend this year's Vigilant Ace excercise, originally scheduled to be held in December.
